Selagi Bernyawa: Kisah Kehidupan dan Kematian di Palestin ialah terjemahan buku The Way to the Spring: Life and Death in Palestine oleh Ben Ehrenheich.<br/><br/>Selama tiga tahun, Ben, seorang penulis dan wartawan, dengan beraninya telah berulang-alik ke Tebing Barat, ke bandar-bandar besar dan kampung-kampung kecil di sana. Beliau menyaksikan sendiri keganasan, penderitaan dan penindasan yang dialami oleh rakyat Palestin akibat pendudukan Israel di Tebing Barat. Beliau turut merasakan denyut nadi kehidupan yang serba mencengkam, kehilangan nyawa, maruah, tanah dan harta benda yang dialami oleh rakyat Palestin setiap hari. Pada masa yang sama, beliau juga menyaksikan keberanian, kecekalan dan ikhtiar hidup sebuah bangsa yang telah ditindas sekian lama, yang bangkit melawan dengan hanya bersenjatakan batu.<br/><br/>Inilah secebis kisah sebuah bangsa yang begitu berani dan cekal dalam mempertahankan tanah air. Mereka tidak pernah mengalah pada segala kezaliman dan penindasan yang dilakukan terhadap mereka. Ben telah berjaya merakamkan perjuangan dan semangat waja mereka ini dengan begitu baik dalam buku ini agar para pembaca juga dapat memahami apa yang berlaku di Palestin walaupun mereka tidak pernah ke sana. |
