Pembelajaran Arah Diri (Self-Directed Learning) memerlukan motivasi. Buku ini antara lain membicarakan konsep, amalan, dan kepentingan motivasi ketuhanan atau motivasi keagamaan atau motivasi kerohanian atau motivasi keakhiratan yang dijenamakan di sini sebagai Motivasi Ilahi. Kajian empirikal bersama adunan ilmu wahyu diharapkan dapat memberikan peneguhan bahawa Motivasi Ilahi itu wujud dan signifikan sifatnya. Motivasi Ilahi ditunjangi oleh iman bersama niat dan tujuan keagamaan serta diiringi usaha yang bersungguh-sungguh.
