Falsafah dalam Karya Sastera Tradisional bermatlamat untuk membicarakan semula persoalan falsafah Melayu serumpun seperti yang tersurat dan tersirat dalam pelbagai bentuk hasil kesusasteraan yang lahir daripada sejarah dan tradisi kepengarangan alam Melayu meliputi persoalan yang berhubungan dengan nilai, kepercayaan dan kerohanian. Ketinggian pemikiran pengarang silam selaku pujangga dan cendekiawan banyak memancarkan asas falsafah bangsa yang perlu diketengahkan semula untuk penghayatan generasi masa ini dalam mengharungi peredaran zaman. Falsafah yang menzahirkan kekuatan intelek dan akal budi bangsa perlu sentiasa dipupuk dan diwacanakan secara ilmiah sebagai bahan pencerahan minda masyarakat yang kian terdedah kepada arus pemikiran global tanpa sempadan. Oleh itu, persoalan falsafah Melayu dalam buku ini bukan hanya menilai semula hasil kesusasteraan, tetapi pada masa yang sama mengetengahkan isu-isu semasa dalam pemahaman dan pengukuhan falsafah Melayu berdasarkan hasil kesusasteraan dan pemikiran sarjana tempatan kontemporari. |
